Dress: Forever21Â (it longer and looser on me). Shoes: Aldo. Watch: Michael Kors (similar).
I’d like to start by saying that this is my first post with more than my legs in it! I’ve never been very comfortable with having my picture taken (it probably shows), but I figure practice makes perfect. Obviously this is something I have to work on as I continue blogging, but I hope you like the post regardless!
Midi lengths have been gaining popularity for awhile now, but this season they are definitely stealing the show! Seeing as how I’m on the short side (barely over 5′) I was pretty skeptical about midi lengths. Despite this, though, I wanted to give it a try. I decided to go for something that wouldn’t swallow my frame and opted for a slightly more form fitting dress. I really like this one because while it is form fitting, it’s not super tight like a body con dress. In fact, this dress is really comfortable and easy to move around in. It has a lightweight material that’s perfect for the spring and will even work in summer.
Once I got over my initial reservations, I actually felt pretty confident walking around in this dress. I found it to be very flattering and as I mentioned before, very comfortable. I’d like to think that despite being petite, this is a trend that I can pull off.
Now that I’ve worn this dress a couple of times, I find myself wanting to try even more midi length options. In fact, here are some other options on my list: this dress from Nordstrom, this dress from Lulu’s (it keeps selling out, but then coming back), this dress from ASOS and this dress from Nordstrom. As you can tell there are so many great options and different ways to wear the same trend. A “midi” length can be anywhere from down to your knees or down to your calves; it’s so versatile!
Gorgeous dress – I love the length, style and color!
