So it’s one of those days… The kind where you’re so busy and can’t take a moment for yourself, let alone change your outfit for every different event. Well good news, today I’m making day to night dressing simpler with a few easy tips. The pictures above  show something I might wear to class, and then spruce to go out later on. Follow along for key elements to pulling off this day to night switch!

  1. Ditch the jacket. I usually wear a sweater or light jacket when I got to class, mainly because I’m always cold, but also to keep my look easy breezy during the day. Taking your jacket off can show off cool sleeves, or in my case some dainty straps.
  2. Swap your bag. I’m a big fan of cross body bags, but they’re a little too functional, when for a night time look you want something a little more fun. I swapped out my go-to Rebecca Minkoff bag for a fun, vintage clutch courtesy of my grandma.
  3. Upgrade your shoes. While sandals are perfect for running around during the day, night time calls for something a little higher. Toss those sandals in your bag and slip on a cute pair of heels, and you’re ready to go!
  4. Change up your jewelry. This element can really make or break your night time look. While I’m a HUUGE fan of my Michael Kors watch, as many of my followers may have noticed, I think night time calls for daintier pieces. I took off my watch, moved one of my bracelets to the other wrist, added a delicate choker, and swapped my studs for hoops. These are small changes, but can really add to your outfit. I obviously opt for gold pieces, and you can find some great ones at AUrate New York. I’m personally loving all of their earrings!

Now that you’ve mastered these four tips, watch how easy it is to take your outfit from day to night!
