I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: wrap dresses are the silhouette to have this season. As I mentioned in a recent post, the wrap dress is by no means a revolutionary garment. But, it is making a case for itself to be dug out of your closet.

I talk a lot about trends on the blog. And while I like to stay current (who doesn’t really?), that doesn’t mean I’m all about the trends to the exclusion of everything else. To be honest, most days I wear pretty basic, classic pieces. And that’s why I’m loving wrap dresses. Right now it’s the “it dress” of summer, but it’s not a piece that will be completely irrelevant a year from now. Wrap dresses are a timeless silhouette for the simple reason that they are so flattering.

Another great part about this piece is the variety we’re seeing. Long sleeve, short sleeve, sleeveless, mini, midi, maxi. And that doesn’t even include the fabrics. I’m in love with the light, linen-ish fabric of the dress I’m wearing above. The fabric combined with the rosey hue and side sash give this dress a definite vacation vibe. I can even see myself wearing this dress to the beach as a cover up. Also the name of the dress, Vashti (does anyone else love that Lulu’s names all of their dresses?), just sounds so exotic.

On another note, when I last talked about wrap dresses, I shared a few that had caught my eye. My dress above was actually one of them, but at that time it was only in black. When I saw the rose color, I wavered, trying to decide between the two. I decided to go with the rose, but I still really love the black color too!

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to come back next week! In the meantime, for more content give me a follow on Insta!
