Hello, hello from LONDON!! Guys, it’s been two weeks and I’m in love with this city! I am so sorry for missing last week’s post, but with orientation, getting over jet lag, and trying to take pictures and it randomly starts raining, it just wasn’t in the cards. But, I’m actually glad it didn’t happen last week, because I bought this hat while I was here and it made the outfit waaaaay better.

If anyone else religiously stalked the spring/summer fashion weeks back in February, you may have noticed the bootie trends for fall. Namely, white and red booties. So, of course, when I saw these patent red booties from Zara I knew I had to buy them ASAP. And for less than $50 I’d say they were a pretty good purchase. Bonus for me: the patent leather makes them waterproof for those unexpected London rain showers.

Like I said, I bought this adorable hat while I was here at the Topshop on Oxford Street. (If anyone is planning a trip to London, it is by far the most amazing Topshop I’ve ever been in!). This fall, 70s fashion is taking over. One of the easiest ways to incorporate this trend is through the baker boy hats that seemed to take over my insta feed overnight. Personally, I’m loving the trend and can’t wait to style more 70’s, boho inspired outfits for you (check out my fall look book ft. 70s trends on Pinterest here).

I kept the look simple but keeping with the subtle retro vibe by pairing the booties and my hat with a long sleeve mock neck top and a denim mini skirt. My last accessory is my new Michael Kors handbag that I’m absolutely IN LOVE with. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find my exact color combo online, but I linked the same bag in a stunning brown and gold mix above that I also adore.

Thanks again for being patient while I got acclimated to London life. I can’t wait to share more of my time here with you all!

xo,

Carey

P.S. these photos were shot while I visited Notting Hill. My friend and I hit up Portobello Street, which is not only adorable with it’s pastel colored townhomes, but has the most amazing vintage and antique stores! I will definitely be going back…
