Style Lessons From Mom

Since Mother’s Day is only three days away, I thought I’d share a post dedicated to my mom. She’s the one who initially got me in to fashion — I’ve never met anyone with as many shoes as my mom. But if there is one thing I’ve learned about style over the years, it’s to accessorize.

My mom never leaves the house without jewelry. While there are a few pieces she tends to fall back on (her big watch and her gold hoops), each outfit deserves different pieces. I will admit, jewelry is never something I really think to buy — clothes and shoes are my kryptonite. Recently I’ve been on an earring kick, but that’s about it. If you follow along, you know that I always wear my watch and ring (it’s a high school ring), and usually my initial necklace. But, my mom does it right; jewelry is an essential part of making your outfit look put together.

With that being said, here’s to Mom for always being the best accessorized woman I know. And if you think her jewelry is on point, you should really check out her shoes. But that’s for another day 🙂

xo,

Carey
