I’m not sure what was going on on the east coast this past weekend but it was WARM. I’m talking early spring warm that had everyone baffled. So of course, I took that chance to break out my wardrobe favorite: a denim skirt.
All of my OG followers know I worship at the altar of denim skirts. They’re a staple from spring through fall in my closet. With that being said, we can’t forget that it’s, you know, winter… With that in mind, even when the weather is starting to get warmer, I still like to tip my hat at the actual season we’re in.
I think the best way to dress for a warmer winter day is to stick with neutrals—they work for every season. So, with my denim skirt firmly planted on my body I kept the rest of the outfit simple. A white turtleneck is always a good option. I love this one because the material isn’t too heavy, but it was perfect to wear without a jacket. High-knee boots were another necessity. It was warm, but nowhere near shorts weather so keeping my legs somewhat covered was perfect. And just to give the outfit a little pizzazz I threw on my new favorite hat (seriously it’s so good—looks like a Lack of Color hat but under $50?? Can’t beat it!).
So there you have it, a super simple outfit for days that are warmer than average in the middle of winter. Let me know what you think in the comments below!
