Instagram-Worthy Spring Outfit Combo
Gone are the days of creating mood boards out of fashion magazines. While sad, I have to say the new mood board is much more convenient. I’m talking about my saves on Instagram! I’m constantly scrolling through my feed or the explore page saving outfits I love to designated folders. And the one outfit formula I realized I’ve been loving? Flowy spring dresses with clunky sneakers!
A year ago I would never, ever have paired clunky dad sneakers with a cute dress. Maybe a pair of slip on sneakers would pass the test, but my FILAs would be a hard no. Now, I can’t get enough of the look. I’ve even seen quite a few looks adding crew socks that I think are so cool. We’ll see if I actually try to recreate though!
In other news, can you believe this dress is only $22?? It’s lightweight without being too thin and is just perfect for early spring weather. I love the combination of the balloon sleeves with the high neck—it’s the perfect amount of drama. The tiger print is also a winner for me! You know I love an animal print, so this is no exception.
If you’re not a fan of the dad sneakers—they’re not everyone’s cup of tea—this dress would also look so cute now with a pair of booties and a pair of sandals when it warms up! You could even dress it up with a pair of heels for a night out look. The options are endless.
My Top Netflix Recommendations
But enough about the outfit. I know it’s only day four of the work-from-home life (at least for me), but I’m starting to get a little stir crazy. If I’m not reading or listening to podcasts to entertain myself, you can probably find me watching my new show obsession: White Collar. I’m such a fan of crime shows, so this is perfect for me. And while this show is actually on Hulu, I thought I would share some of my Netflix recommendations (since it’s the most popular).
My TV tastes are kind of all across the board, but here they are:
- Mindhunter
- The Witcher
- Criminal Minds
- The Sinner
- Glow Up
- Next in Fashion
- Derry Girls
- Spinning Out
- In the Dark
- The Politician
- Unbelievable
- Alias Grace
- Gossip Girl
Like I said, my taste is eclectic! From crime shows to fantasy to drama to reality competitions, it really just depends on my mood. But, I loved all of the shows on that list (shared in no particular order).
If you’re looking for movies, my list is shorter. But, I recommend:
- Miss Americana (technically a documentary…)
- Dumplin’
- Murder Mystery
- Wine Country
- To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before
- Set it Up
- The Ugly Truth
I hope this helps with the boredom! And if you need any podcast recommendations, I shared my favorites on this post. That’s all for today, leave me a comment below with your favorite show to watch on Netflix.
