TGIF am I right ladies?? So ready to be heading into the weekend and I saved this outfit post for today because can you think of a more weekend-ready look? If you’re a fan of the athleisure trend then this post is for you! Because, if you haven’t heard, tennis skirts are all the rage at the moment. And I, for one, am all about it.

As far as personal styles tend to go, sporty isn’t the first word I would pick to describe mine. I actually had a friend once describe it as “trendy, feminine, classic” and that’s by far my favorite description yet. So, as you can probably guess, athleisure hasn’t always been my go-to for outfit inspiration. Of course, as it’s gained popularity, I’ve been swayed. Who doesn’t love a comfy outfit? But, now that tennis skirts have made an appearance, I’m definitely on board!

I love this trend because it mixes a sporty flare with girly undertones. The juxtaposition between the two creates the ultimate cool girl vibe. If you’re looking to up your athleisure game, a tennis skirt is the way to go.

By the way, this whole outfit is super affordable! My tennis skirt was only $16 from Amazon (and comes in a million colors) and my tank was $14 from Nordstrom! Basically this outfit is a steal! And I love how the cropped tank in the black color makes the outfit so much more chic. Keeping with the athleisure vibe, I paired the outfit with my go-to sneakers—I wore these to Europe last summer and they’re truly the best—and black and gold accessories. When trying out a trendy piece, sticking with classics everyone else is a necessity.

So, what do you think of the tennis skirt trend? Have I convinced you to rock one this weekend? Let me know in the comments below!
