Welcome to New York!

If the Taylor Swift isn’t playing in your head after reading today’s post title, you’re doing it wrong! Regardless, hello friends! It’s been a minute since I’ve posted on the blog β€” moving to a new city and starting grad school in the middle of a pandemic is no joke. On top of that I lost my mom as my photographer, so I’m slowing getting used to the tripod life!

With that, I just wanted to give a quick update on my life, why I moved, etc. So I decided during the pandemic that I wanted to go back to school and with the way the job market is currently, now was the time. Actually, I thought I was going to be moving to London, but during the process of figuring out grad school I was accepted to Columbia University, so I switched.

I moved on September 2 to my cute little apartment near Columbia. I’m pursuing my masters degree in strategic communication and, depending on which path I take, I should have my degree by the end of summer 2021 or December 2021 (dependent on if I do a summer internship).

Anyway, I’ve been living in my apartment for exactly three weeks now. I have two roommates who are also graduate students at Columbia and they’re great! We’re only on the second week of classes and already I’m super busy, but I’m glad that I’ll still be able to spend time on The Dainty Details β€” something that felt pretty hard when I was commuting to D.C.

So there you have it, my little life update. And because no post on this page is complete without the outfits, I’m rounding up some of the looks I’ve shared so far since moving!
