The Under $25 Plaid Skirt Must-Have for Fall

I know it’s been awhile, did you forget about me? It’s been about a month and half since I moved to NYC and I have to say, I feel like this is where I was meant to be. Despite navigating through the pandemic, there’s something about this city that calls my name. The only downside, as I’ve mentioned, is that my photographer (aka my mom) isn’t here to take my blog photos anymore. BUT, I met up with a blogger friend this past weekend to shoot together and could not be happier!

We met up in Chelsea this weekend to shoot an outfit and it ended with me going for drinks with her and some of her friends! I would say the day was a success. And we’re meeting up again to shoot this weekend! But, enough about my life update, let’s get to what you’re really here for: the outfit.

Plaid Skirt for Fall

If there’s one pattern I gravitate towards each fall season, it’s plaid. And when I saw this plaid skirt for under $25 it was an instant “add to cart”! I don’t know about you, but whenever I wear a plaid skirt I get instant Gossip Girl vibes. Blair Waldorf has long been my style icon and I think moving to New York has me channeling her.

Although this skirt comes in multiple color options, this gray version with a subtle orange streak caught my eye! The color palette screams autumn without being in your face.

I paired my skirt with the cardigan I’ve been wearing on repeat — it’s on sale for under $30 FYI. Puff sleeves are always a yes in my book and especially so on a sweater. Although it’s neutral, the sleeves give a little extra oomph.

I finished off this look with black knee high boots (a great investment, I’ve had them for a year now) and black and gold accessories. If you’re looking for an easy, yet chic weekend outfit, this plaid skirt is your answer!
