Thanksgiving is next week and I swear I’m in a fever dream — where the heck did this year go? My answer: lost in the void that is the pandemic. Even though the holidays might look a little different this year, it’s still my favorite time of the year! The holiday season makes the dark, gloomy days all worth it in my opinion. And with that being said, I still plan to dress for the holidays! And don’t worry, I’ve got your back with some Thanksgiving outfit ideas.
In my family, Thanksgiving has never been a huge family get-together anyway, so this year doesn’t actually look too different for me. And that’s why the outfit I’m wearing above is perfect! A cozy sweater, booties, and comfortable pants are an absolute must for Thanksgiving dinner. No one wants to be wearing tight pants during a big meal, and these faux leather pants are surprisingly comfortable! (Side note: I bought the petite version and should’ve just gone with regular). I also love that the green color is a slight nod to the holiday season. This outfit is perfect for wearing at home, but still feeling like you put in a little effort.
If you need even more inspo, here are some recent outfits I’ve worn that would also work!
Thanks Giving Outfit Ideas

Sweater dresses are always a good option for Thanksgiving — comfy, breathable, and cozy. Wear yours like I did here with booties or knee-high boots in colder weather!

Shackets are always a good idea! Pair this comfy cozy 2020 trend with your favorite faux leather leggings and sneakers for a casual look.

If the last outfit wasn’t comfy enough for you, try pairing an oversized sweater with leggings and swap your sneakers for slippers! Feels like pjs, but looks a little nicer.

Last look is for those families that think it’s fun to run a 5K on Thanksgiving… of which my family is decidedly not. Still, if you’ll be out in the cold on Thanksgiving day (maybe playing some football, who knows?) leggings, a thermal tee, sneakers, and a puffer vest and hat are a great combo.
Anyway, if this wasn’t enough outfit inspiration for you, I don’t know what is! Let me know what you’ll be wearing next Thursday in the comments below!
xo,
Carey
