It’s kind of crazy — I haven’t been in New York City during the holidays since elementary school. Although I haven’t been able to do too much this year with the pandemic, it’s absolutely magical! I spent this past weekend doing all of the classic, albeit touristy, things: visiting the Rockefeller tree, watching the Saks light show, seeing the Cartier building (along with a ton of others!), and visiting the Lotte New York Palace tree. I had been planning this shoot with Elizabeth from Tall and Preppy, and I knew I wanted to share another holiday look with you all. But, since plans are different this year, I thought a cozy Christmas outfit was in order.
If you’ve followed along, you know I’m loving the knit midi trend! I think it’s so fun, and a cuter take on lounge wear. When I ordered my oversized cardigan, I went on the hunt to find a skirt that matched. I found this one from Nordstrom and absolutely love the quality! Bonus, it’s on sale right now for under $50!
To maximize the coziness of this outfit, of course I threw on an oversized cardigan. Wear a tank top underneath and you can’t go wrong. Overall, this is the ultimate cozy Christmas outfit, but of course I need to add a little glam. Because I was out and about, I went for my go-to beige booties. If I were staying home I’d probably just wear slippers! I also think sneakers would look really cute with this, but are definitely less glam.
And when it comes to adding glamour, accessories are your friend. From gold detailing on my bag and sparkly earrings, to the red lip and Kate Middleton curls! It’s all in the details, friends!
Anyway, I hope you guys like this stay-at-home inspired holiday outfit. We’re still not sure if a family gathering is happening or not, but either way, this is the kind of outfit I plan to go for!
