Like fall, spring is one of my favorite seasons. It’s a time when we finally get to come out of extreme weather and start to look forward to (in this case) warmer days. With that said, spring is not always the warmest of seasons. Half the time you dress in your winter clothes, half the time you pull out the shorts. With that in mind, I’m sharing some of my spring staples I always like to have in my closet.
First is a blazer. I love a light or neutral blazer in the spring! Blazers are perfect because you can literally wear them with anything. I obviously paired mine with jeans here, but they look equally cute with shorts or a skirt. And of course, you can dress them up or down. Investing in a blazer is a must!
Second is a solid cami. This isn’t really a spring staple necessarily, but a closet one in general. They’re so versatile and work year round. I always reach for my camis to wear with blazers, cardigans, jackets, on their own… you name it!
The next staple is fresh denim. I clearly have an obsession with buying jeans, but different pairs work better in different seasons! I’m really love this pair I’m wearing because it’s a lighter wash for spring, but not too light. Although I do love a white or very light pair in the warmer months! I’m also very into the straight leg, longer fit (very on trend right now). A quick note about this exact pair: I usually size down in this brand so I bought a 24 instead of my usual 25. I DO NOT recommend doing that. They have zero give and are incredibly tight on me. I would’ve exchanged, but because I bought while they were on sale, it was a final sale situation. But back to the spring staples…
My last closet staple for spring is white sneakers. I cannot imagine going through life without a good pair of white sneakers. I wear them for practically every season (just a little less in winter), but they are definite spring shoes. They go with basically everything — dresses, skirts, shorts, jeans, they do it all.
And that brings me to the end of this post. Let me know what you think in the comments below!
