If I could only wear one type of dress the rest of my life, I know that babydoll dresses would be it. They are silhouette I gravitate towards time and time again. Not only are the incredibly trendy and of the moment — especially when you add a puff sleeve detail — they’re extremely flattering! Without fail, every babydoll dress I try on, I fall in love with.

Now here’s why: unlike a lot of popular dress shapes, baby doll dresses aren’t skintight and create a looser, flowing fit. Which makes them more comfortable too! I never worry about how the dress is sitting around my stomach or hips. Also, the dresses usually hit a higher hemline (the one I’m wearing is an exception, probably because I’m 5 ft.). This makes your legs look so much longer! Obviously, a huge plus for me.

How to Style Babydoll Dresses

As mentioned, this is a silhouette I love. Right off the bat, I can direct you to two previous posts (here and here) where I style different babydoll dresses. But, what I love about them is that they’re so versatile! You can dress them up or down and completely change the look. I styled mine above with white boots for a fun/funky spring look. But, I also wore the same dress with white sneakers for more of an everyday style (see here). You can even dress it up with a pair of strappy sandals — the options are endless.

And that’s just the shoes! I think a cute hat would be adorable for spring and the bag you chose instantly altars the whole vibe. You can really have fun with a babydoll dress and style it a different way every day.

With that being said, that’s all for this week! Let me know what you think of this dress style in the comments below!
