I think every year (maybe even a few times a year) I like to share my closet staples. I’ve done fall capsule wardrobe posts in the past, so this season I wanted to switch it up. This time I’m sharing five staple pieces that are a little more trendy. All five of these items are trending for fall 2022, but I love these particular “trends” because they’re pieces you can wear year after year.
Striped Sweater
First up is a striped sweater. I love that this is having a moment again. I especially love the Parisian vibe you get with the stripes. You can dress a striped sweater up with trousers or dark wash jeans, or down with a lighter pair of jeans or leggings.
UGG Boots
If you thought UGGs were out, think again. There isn’t a trendier shoe of the season. I’m a huge fan because they’re so comfortable! You can still pair your UGGs with leggings, but a more timely look would be under a pair of straight leg jeans.
Straight Leg Jeans
And that brings me to the next staple: straight leg jeans. You can’t go wrong with this style! Wear them in any wash, ripped or not ripped. They’re so flattering and make your legs look a million miles long. I also love how easy they are to wear with boots!
Knee High Boots
Knee high boots will never go out of style. This season I would go with either a pointed or square toe, but there’s nothing quite like a pair of knee high boots with a cute fall dress or skirt.
Quilted Puffer Jacket
Quilted puffers are the jacket of the season! But once again, it’s a closet staple you can wear year after year. I’m loving how these jackets can feel either sporty or preppy depending on how you style them!
