Fall is here and it’s my favorite month of the year! Something about October feels so magical. The leaves start to change, the evening light is stunning, and the air starts to get that delicious crisp smell. While the temps are getting chillier, I love spending as much time outside on a sunny day as possible in October. The obvious choices are an apple orchard or pumpkin patch (both of which I adore), but a day trip to a winery is another fun option!
On Sunday, my friends and I (and my friend’s dad) rented a car and drove from New York City to a little further upstate to Benmarl Winery. If you’re looking for stunning views of the Hudson Valley and great vibes, this is the place! We actually went for the stomping of the grapes the winery offers (a gross, but very fun experience!). Of course, we stayed for wine tastings and live music.
So now that I’ve scared you with the feet pic, let’s talk outfits! I thought the day would be more active than it was, so I went for a more comfortable look. But some of the ladies at Benmarl really went for it! The ground is a tad uneven, especially in the parking lot, but the place itself is small, so you aren’t doing much walking. In fact, the best part of the day was grabbing a glass of wine and sitting down to look over the views!
It was a bit chilly, so I layered my favorite cashmere sweater over a simple black tee. I tucked both into a looser fitting pair of jeans (ones that I wasn’t too worried about staining, which I did in fact do). I finished off the look with my go-to pair of black cowboy boots and my new Barbour jacket! My mom got this for me during the Nordstrom sale and I will be wearing it all fall long!
