There’s nothing I love more than researching and curating the latest seasonal trends — especially for fall. With that being said, don’t discount the power of good basics! Without quality basics, your wardrobe can feel overwhelming, making it difficult to put together outfits. Today, I’m sharing some classic fall style staples.
- Trench coat. I’ve had my Comptoir des Contonniers trench for over four years now. A timeless trench coat is perfect for throwing over a simple outfit. I love a traditional khaki color, but black and navy blue are also good options!
- Mockneck top. A black mockneck is a silhouette I can’t get enough of. I love how it looks both modern, but also gives a mod look (think: 60s and 70s style). A simple black mockneck, whether short sleeve or long sleeve, can go a long way in adding dimension to a basic outfit.
- Black skirt. A black skirt is a must. I tend to opt for a mini-length skirt, but midi and maxi work as well. If you constantly reach for jeans as your go-to, it’s nice to switch up with a black skirt!
- Slingbacks. Slingback flats and heels are definitely having a moment, especially red ones, but the style isn’t new. You’ll wear these shoes for years to come!
Which of these fall style staples are you wearing this season?
