Happy new year! It’s officially 2024, another year of the Dainty Details, and what’s more fitting for the first post of the year than my birthday post?
Today I turn 27. Don’t worry — I’m not going to share 27 things about myself or 27 lessons I’ve learned, etc. But I would like to reflect on the past year and talk about what I’m excited for this year.
26 was a great year! I got promoted at work after working my first full year (not including my internship time), I traveled to Amsterdam for a good friend’s 30th birthday, I saw TAYLOR SWIFT in concert in Nashville, and spent so many more days making memories with friends in NYC.
With that being said, I’m even more excited for what’s to come with 27. I think this is officially my late 20s. And while I still feel like a teenager half the time, I do feel more comfortable in who I am these days.
As far as goals go for this year, travel is always at the top of my list. So far I have Palm Springs and Edinburgh (for my roommate’s bachelorette and wedding) penciled in. I’ve also been thinking a lot about how to continue to grow this community. This year I plan to focus on more video content and a mixture of curated visual content as well as real-life takes.
Anyway, I’m so grateful for this community and to be able to share what’s going on in my life as I celebrate my birthday today!
