I don’t know about you, but I am LOVING all of the fun accessory trends this spring. From bags, to jewelry, to hair accessories, there is so much going on and I am living for it! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, don’t worry, I’ve got you covered. Because today I’m sharing four of the top trends that I can’t scroll through my Instagram feed without seeing.
PVC (Clear) Bags
I don’t know why this became a trend—I mean, showing people what’s inside your bag??—yet I still think it’s so chic. Also, now you have a good reason to clean all of the extra junk out of your bag. I love that there are so many different styles of bags that are still incorporating this trend. So if you’re a small, crossbody bag lover like myself, or a large tote lover (like my mom!), there is a PVC bag for you!
I haven’t actually jumped on board this trend yet, but you can bet your booty I am ordering some soon. Who doesn’t love a trend you can incorporate with $8 and an Amazon Prime account? I can’t wait to start rocking pearl clips into the summer. I’m only sharing a few options (they all start to look the same after awhile), but you can definitely price shop on Amazon and Etsy for the best deals!
I know, I know, this isn’t a new trend. But I am happy to say that it is back again this season. I could not get enough of my basket bag last summer (I actually used mine so much it broke and had to buy a new one), so here’s to bringing the trend back this spring. I love that like the PVC bag trend there are so many different styles to choose from.
Puka Shell Jewelry
Confession time: I absolutely hated this trend when I first started seeing it. All I could think about was the tacky jewelry I used to buy at the beach in middle school. But, my opinion changed when I got the cutest little gold puka shell bracelet. Since then, I have been so on board. This trend really comes down to the pieces you choose; stay away from anything that looks like you could have bought it at a random tourist trap 10 years ago, and opt for dainty, gold (or silver) pieces.
Which trends will you be rocking this spring? Are there any you love that I left out? Let me know in the comments below!
Obviously graduation is on my mind since that seems to be the theme this week! Whether you or someone who know is graduation (college or high school) or you have another reason to buy a personalized gift, I found the perfect item.
When it comes to jewelry, by now you all probably know that I like pieces that are delicate and dainty, and if they’re gold? Even better. I recently found this online jewelry company, Sincerely Silver, that is the ultimate destination for personalized pieces! I can’t think of anything better than jewelry that is personalized. From name and initial necklaces to handwriting bracelets, there are so many options.
As a little graduation gift to myself, I picked out a GPS coordinates bracelet. In a sentimental mood, I added the GPS coordinates for Elon University. Obviously, I went with gold, but I like that the company offers silver and rose gold options as well—everyone has a metal preference! And the best part is that you can choose your size. I hardly ever wear bracelets because my wrists are so small and they just fall off. But I went with the smallest size and could I adjust it to fit my wrist (I probably could have even gone with the next size up). In my opinion, there is nothing more perfect than personalized jewelry.
Of course, before I go, I have to get into my outfit details as well. I bought this Storets skirt in the summer and it’s still one of my favorites. This exact skirt is gone now, but there is an almost identical version online. I wanted this look to be feminine and flirty to highlight the delicate bracelet, so I added a puff sleeve top and my favorite wedges.
That’s all for today, I hope you liked it! And who else understands my obsession with personalized jewelry? I have so many initial necklaces it’s ridiculous! P.S. You can get 15% off your purchase from Sincerely Silver with code SINCERELY15.
Aaaand just like that, it’s Monday again. I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. I’m feeling extra grateful to have this Monday off—maybe I’ll even get in some pool time since our neighborhood pool just opened!
Anyway, the theme of this week’s blog posts is graduation. As much as I want to avoid the dreaded “G word,” it’s approaching fast. And with that in mind, I’m sure girls are still looking for graduation dresses. I just got my graduation dress in on Friday so no judgment here! And I know that my roommate still hasn’t found one yet.
Lucky for you, I’ve rounded up over 70 different options to choose from, at a few different price points. I mostly looked for white dresses since that’s what most wear, but I threw in options in other colors/prints as well. Check out my picks below! Also, if you’re not about to graduate, here is the perfect excuse to buy a new dress just because (and check out this post too)!
I hope this post was helpful! Let me know which dress you love in the comments below!
Happy Wednesday! We are officially half way through the week! So, you may have noticed that I’m posting at a weird time…I wasn’t able to shoot this look yesterday, so I got up to shoot it this morning to be able to share it today. Because today I wanted to share a last minute Easter outfit idea for those of you who still have no idea what to wear!
Honestly, Easter isn’t the biggest holiday with my family (I’m not even going home, just staying at school), so thinking about my outfit is never a top priority. Of course, the week before I’m always scrambling to come up with something. So, for those of you in my shoes, I hope this post helps.
When I think of Easter outfits, pastels always come to mind. I went digging through my closet to find this adorable ruffle skirt that I bought over the summer (I somehow managed to find the exact skirt for you) and never actually wore. With the rainbow of pastels and the ruffle hem, it embodies everything Easter and spring. To keep it simple, I paired the skirt with an item I’m sure everyone has in their closet: a white cami/tank.
This outfit could be pretty casual, but to dress it up a bit I layered on the gold jewelry and added my go-to wedges. To top off the look, I decided to go with a different bag than my usual one. I thought the little blue purse matched so well with the skirt and really added to the Easter/spring vibe.
So there you have it, an Easter outfit I pulled together last minute with items from my closet. If you’re still looking for a dress though, check out my blog post featuring spring event dresses. A lot of them are from Revolve, which has two-day shipping so you can get your dress ASAP!
Happy Friday ladies! Based on responses from Instagram Stories, I’m going to try to post weekly sales roundups every Friday so that you can go into the weekend with all of the best deals. And let me just say, this is a good weekend for sales. You already know about the Shopbop Spring Event sale that I posted about on Wednesday. Today is the last day to shop it, so if you’re in need of some sales picks check out my blog post here, it’s pretty comprehensive. But anyway, here are the other sales to shop this weekend, the biggest probably being the Nordstrom sale! I’m not going to choose products from every single sale, but I will highlight my faves from some of the best!
I can’t believe last Friday night I attended my last formal ever for my sorority. Graduation is starting to feel real with every “last” I’m encountering. But, without getting too sentimental, it’s nice to look back on my time in Alpha Omicron Pi at Elon University. From the fun opportunities I’ve received to the great friends I’ve made, it’s all been a blast.
But enough with the mushy stuff—this is a fashion blog so I need to get to the fashion part. I literally cannot say enough good things about the dress I wore. From the color, to the fit, to the silhouette, I’m absolutely in love. So in love in fact, I’m considering purchasing the same dress in white for graduation. I received so many compliments on this dress too (and who doesn’t love a compliment?). Seriously though, you know you’ve found a winner when you lose track of how many people say they love your dress.
I have to say though, finding this dress took me awhile (and shoutout to my roommate for convincing me to get it in this color). And because I had a lot of trouble finding a dress for formal, I thought others might be in the same boat. Whether you’re looking for a dress for formal, graduation, a wedding, a shower, etc., I’ve rounded up some great options for a formal event. The best part? They’re all under $200!
