If you’ve seen my Instagram lately, you’re probably sick of seeing this camisole, but what can I say? I’m in love. My black cami is, without a doubt, my favorite purchase of the summer. You know how much I love my white camisole, and I’m feeling the same about this one. There really isn’t a time when you can’t wear this piece. I love it for summer as a top on its own, but when fall and winter come around, this black cami will look so cute under cardigans.

In an entirely predictable move I, of course, paired my black cami with a denim skirt (another great purchase this summer). This outfit is what I chose to wear for a day trip to Charleston. I wanted something cute, but comfortable while walking in the heat. So obvi I had to add my new rose gold Birkenstocks. (They’re called copper officially but get real — rose gold all the way). Birkenstocks are definitely a polarizing sandal, but personally I love them. I bought my first pair my freshman year of college and they’re still one of my all time favorite shoes. So this summer I had to switch it up and add a pair of rose gold ones to my wardrobe. I think the color definitely makes them more appealing to those that aren’t quite onboard the Birkenstock train just yet. You just can’t go wrong with a metallic sandal this summer — sooo trendy.

Since I was already rocking the hippy-dippy vibe with the Birkenstocks my hexagonal green sunnies were a no-brainer. For $10 at Free People, these sunglasses were a major steal. And surprisingly they go with a lot. Anyway, that’s all for this week. Leave a comment below letting me know what kind of content you’d like to see next!

The 00’s are back and better than ever, and this season they are fueling my summer staples. Think back to smocked babydoll dresses and floral tops. And yes — those cover ups literally every girl wore to the beach. Like most trends, this style is having a resurgence and I. Cannot. Get. ENOUGH. I’ve already bought four smocked tops (*yikes*).

Keeping with the early 2000s theme, denim minis are a must. And while that aren’t a new trend this season, they definitely add a retro vibe. This is an outfit I’d like to imagine mid-2000s Britney would have worn. But aside from pairing with smocked tops, denim minis make the perfect summer staples — I don’t know what I’d do without them.

Of course my look wouldn’t be complete without a great pair of shoes. Naturally, I wore my new favorite wedges. I love the height on these shoes — it gives me a little oomph, without making it impossible to walk. I also added my basket bag because, well, it’s summer. Because the look has a lot going, I kept my jewelry simple, my only statement piece being my watch.

I hope you liked this post. Tell me what you want to see more of in the comments below!

P.S. My top is sold out in the orange color, but I linked the exact one in other colors!
