Since last week’s post about my Amazon Fall Finds went so well, I thought I would share some other great deals/finds this week. Recently, my friend was telling me how much she has started to love Nordstrom Rack, so I thought I would start going back to it more myself. This week I found some really great finds that I think you’ll love! Let me know which is your favorite in the comments below!
That’s it for this week. I have a lot more fun content planned for next!
Happy Friday! The week is coming to an end and I’m sure we’re all ready for the weekend. And, to get you ready, I spent all of last night searching for the best fall finds on Amazon. I don’t know about you, but I see so many people wearing cute Amazon finds, but when I go online it’s so hard to find quality items. So, I decided to do the work for you. I rounded up 30 different Amazon pieces that all look so perfect for fall. Get ready for a lot of autumnal tones and leopard print! So while you’re on your lunch break (or maybe just bored at work, I won’t tell) check out these cute finds and get to shopping!
My Fall Finds:
P.S. almost every single item is available for Prime!
Happy happy Wednesday! Today I’m sharing another fall transition look that you can wear ASAP and some fall fashion dos and don’ts. I’m still desperately praying for cooler weather, but even if I’m stuck with the 80s and 90s I’m not going to let that stop me! The key is a darker color palette mixed with autumnal patterns (see this post for more tips). I’m so obsessed with these corduroy paper bag waist shorts from Shein, especially with this one shoulder top. Since the top was such a statement piece, I tried to dress the look down with my dad sneakers, but you could easily swap those for booties. And if a one-shoulder top isn’t your cup of tea, then a black t-shirt would look equally as cute!
But, aside from this outfit, here are some fall fashion Dos and Don’ts that I wanted to share!
Fall Fashion Dos and Don’ts
DO: Incorporate layers
With the weather changing you never know how your day is going to go. That’s why dressing in layers is perfect for fall—throw on a simple tee or cami with a sweater and a jacket over top and add or remove as needed!
DON’T: Weigh your outfit down
While I just told you to incorporate layers, it’s important to do so in a way that doesn’t weigh you down. If you want to wear a bulky sweater, I would opt for a more form fitting bottom and vice versa. Too much extra fabric is not flattering and takes your outfit from chic to not-so-cute.
DO: Embrace animal print
Animal print was all the rage last fall and it’s back again. But instead of just leopard and snakeskin, other animal prints are taking the stage. Zebra print anyone? This is such an easy fall trend to incorporate because it comes in pretty much everything—sweaters, tops, skirts, shoes, etc.!
DON’T: Wear every trend at once
You know me, I’m all about a trend. But, when you try to wear every single fall trend at once the result isn’t, well, trendy. Instead try incorporating just one trend and mix it with class pieces that are always in style.
DO: Invest in classic pieces
Speaking of classic pieces, don’t neglect them! This is the area where I would advise spending just a little bit more (save the fast fashion prices for exactly that: fast fashion). I’m thinking a tailored black blazer or a pair of leather boots. Think of what pieces you know you’re going to wear for years to come and spend accordingly.
DON’T: Forget to have fun!
Finally, don’t forget to have fun! While there are some fashion “rules,” don’t take them too seriously. Fashion is all about self-expression and making you feel confident in your own skin. So, while I may have shared my Dos and Don’ts, just remember to wear what makes you happy!
So, that’s it for today. What do you think of these fall fashion dos and don’ts? I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
Soooo a bit of a late post this week. I’ve been pretty MIA, but I wanted to share a short and sweet post with some items I’m loving for fall. As I’ve mentioned before, fall is my favorite season, especially when it comes to fashion. So, of course, I’ve been spending my time online shopping. Here are some items that I’m absolutely loving right now!
Clearly I’m loving grandma cardigans and sweaters and dark/neutral color palette. Which item will you add to your wishlist? Let me know in the comments!
Happy Monday! I’m sure everyone is happy to be off on this beautiful Labor Day. Besides not going into work, the best part of Labor Day (and Labor Day weekend) is always the sales! So of course, I rounded up the best sales I could find.
Nordstrom — spend $150 get $30, spend $250 get $60, spend $400 get $100 (you have to have a Nordstrom card for this one)
OK — gimme all the skorts, please, especially if they’re plaid. How is this trend just now a thing? It’s just the right amount of nostalgia for my Catholic school days without looking childish and/or creepy (if you get my drift…).
I bought this plaid skort over the summer during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and have been patiently waiting to wear it ever since. Now that the weather finally feels like fall, I feel justified in pulling this piece out of my closet.
Because the weather wasn’t too chilly, I decided to pair the skort with an old bell sleeve top. (Oddly enough it’s the same brand as the skort). Adding to that my favorite boots of the season and you have a fool-proof fall outfit! I got so many compliments on this look and it’s really so simple.
But back to the plaid skort — like I said, I bought this over the summer, so there are only a few left. But good news is it’s on major sale in select sizes! So because of the limited quantity, I thought I’d share some other plaid skorts I’m loving this season. Happy shopping!
