Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Public Access

It’s Friday and the Nordstrom sale is opening to everyone today! Because of that, I thought I’d share everything I purchased from the sale and some other items still in stock. Let’s get to it!

What I Bought

I also got a leopard print midi dress but never saw it online! It’s the exact same style as this dress though, just in a leopard print for fall.

Still in Stock

Here is everything I’m loving that’s still in stock in most sizes! I would definitely check back at 12:30pm though once the sale goes live to the public because there might be more restocks! I still can’t believe that the Spanx faux leather leggings are still fully in stock, or the Wubby fleece! Oh and the new version of the Sam Edelman boots I bought last year are almost completely in stock. I highly recommend!

So that’s it for this week. I kept this post short and sweet since I’m sure you’re probably tired of hearing about the Nordstrom sale by now. But, for those who don’t have early access, I wanted to make it quick and easy to get the best deals! And make sure you check out my previous post to see what my top-pick items are in the sale.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Best of Beauty + Items I Love Still in Stock

Every year I shop the Nordstrom sale I get so caught up in the new fall clothes, shoes, and accessories and I feel like I hardly pay any attention to the beauty products. So, this year I did and there are some great options! I went through and picked out products that I definitely think are worth it and would probably buy myself.

  1. If there is one beauty item you should buy during the sale it’s this palette! I got it on Saturday and have been wearing it non-stop. The colors are so pretty for summer and going into fall. I usually stick to browns and grays, but these colors help me go outside my comfort zone without looking too crazy! Plus, the price is so good for a Charlotte Tilbury palette.
  2. Staying on the Charlotte Tilbury discussion, this lip trio is such a steal! I love her lipsticks (unfortunately the one I had died a sad, watery death in my washing machine) and “Pillow Talk” is one of her most popular colors. If it’s a nude lipstick, you know I’m in!
  3. Ok. This Laura Mercier set is another great deal! I’ve wanted the secret brightening powder for so, so long and it’s a part of this trio. Also, the setting powder alone is worth the price of the entire trio!
  4. If you’re looking for a hair tool, look no further than T3. I’ve wanted a T3 curling wand for so long, but can’t justify it since my hair curls so easily, even with my inexpensive wand! But, if you hair doesn’t love to curl like mine does, I’ve heard so many great things about this tool—it’s fast and the curls last for days.
  5. You know a lipstick junkie like me can’t have just one lip option in the bunch! I didn’t see these in person at Nordstrom, but from online I would wear every single color! Again, nude lipstick is my weakness…
  6. Finally, this lash serum might be the best deal on this list. You get two for $95 when that’s usually the price of just one! I’m actually putting this on my Christmas list this year because I’ve heard so many amazing results!

Still in Stock

Now that the beauty purchases are covered, let’s talk about what’s still left in stock from the sale. I know a lot of hot ticket items are gone (I really wanted the Vince Camuto snake skin booties but such is life), but there are still some amazing finds still left in stock! I’m rounding up every thing I really like that’s still in stock in all or almost all sizes (as of when I’m writing this post on 7/16). And, I’m going to share my top 10 items still in stock below—because I truly love these items and have them on my own wishlist.

My Top Picks From the Nordstrom Sale (by Category!)

My Top Picks From the Nordstrom Sale (by Category!)

I hope everyone is excited as I am because today is a day that embodies the phrase “Christmas in July”: the first day of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! If you still don’t know what I’m talking about, go click over to my Nordstrom guide for a quick read. If you’re ready though, let’s jump into my top picks for the sale. Side note: a lot of the items I’m sharing come in multiple colors, so if you like the style but want a different color, click on it anyway because chances are you’ll get lucky!

So this is the category (aside from shoes) that I’m most excited for. I actually really need new cardigans—my mom said mine look “ratty”—and Nordstrom delivered! From basic neutrals to fun leopard print you really can’t go wrong. And almost all of them have pockets, so really, what more do you need?

Another great category this year. If I could live in sweaters year round I think I would. Anyway, I don’t have much else to say except check them out. I’m loving a lot of the turtleneck options!

Basic Tops

Another category I need to refresh in my closet. Camis, short sleeve tees, long sleeve tees, these are wardrobe essentials and now is the perfect time to stock up. The prices are much lower than they will be in fall, plus you can wear these now.

I’m actually really impressed with the tops this year! From silky blouses to plaid flannels, they’re all so cute. I love that a lot of these tops are so versatile—you could pair them with jeans and booties or dress them up for work.

I personally won’t be buying any denim at the moment (I just bought myself a new pair recently), but if I was I would definitely opt for a pair of designer denim like Frame, AG, or Paige. A lot of these brands are around $100 off which is amazing!

Other Bottoms

If there is one trend I’m so excited for this fall it’s silky midi skirts! I can’t wait to pair some with booties and leather jackets or sweaters.

So I wasn’t super impressed with the dresses, but hopefully I will find more options to add later! In the meantime, the three dresses I did find I think are absolutely adorable.

My absolute, favorite category! This is what I’m here for! There’s nothing I love more than shoe shopping and they are soooo many good options this year. I would definitely scoop your favorite up because a lot of these styles will go fast.

Other Shoes

If you already have all the boots/booties you need for fall then definitely check out some other styles. I’m loving the flats and loafers this year.

Whether you want some comfy pjs to wear around the house or you need new activewear for the gym, now is definitely the time to stock up.

From jackets to coats to blazers, if you need some type of outerwear for fall or winter you really can’t go wrong with any of these choices! I’m really loving all of the plaid options I’m seeing this year. I definitely have my eye on the brown plaid blazer.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019: Everything You Need to Know

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019: Everything You Need to Know

So it’s almost that time of year again—the Nordstrom Anniversary sale! I somewhat covered this last year, but I’m hoping to be more comprehensive this year so that everyone can get more bang for their buck. With that being said, here’s everything you need to know before the sale starts.

What is it?

if you’ve never even heard of the anniversary sale before, you’re probably wondering why I’m even dedicating a blog post to sale that hasn’t started. Well, the anniversary sale is probably Nordstrom’s biggest sale of the year and it’s unlike other sales out there. Instead of having items come out and then marking them down later, Nordstrom brings out all of their fall items at a discounted price. After the sale ends, the prices go back up to normal prices. So, it’s basically a sale to shop for fall pieces before summer even ends.

Who can shop it and when?

The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is available to everyone, but at different dates. If you are a Nordstrom cardholder then you can start shopping the sale on July 12th at 12:30pm ET. Then, on July 19th the sale opens up to everyone else until it ends on August 4th. The next day, the prices go up.

If you’re not already a cardholder, don’t worry! You can still sign up for a card here. Honestly, if you’re interested in actually shopping the sale then a card is a must. I’ve tried to shop the sale in the past without one and practically everything was gone. But, that doesn’t mean you still can’t find pieces even without a Nordstrom card (so no pressure!).

My Tips

  • Have a plan: if there are certain pieces or brands that you know you love and want to stock up on for the fall, then start there. Items go fast so check out your favorites first.
  • Order online: personally, I love shopping in stores sooooo much more than online, but for this sale shopping online is 10x easier. You get to see the full range of products that your local store might not have and you can apply specific filters to help you find what you’re looking for fast.
  • Double points day: if you’re a cardholder then this is the time to use your double points! Enough said.
  • Maximize your savings: if there’s a specific piece you want that’s a little pricier, now is the time to buy it. Last year I fell in love with a pair of boots that were a little outside my price range, but during the sale were $100 cheaper. Definitely worth it and I wore them all fall and winter!
  • Don’t stress: a lot of people (re: bloggers) hype of this sale to the point that it’s completely stressful. If you want to shop it, use my tips. If you don’t, don’t! It’s really that easy and doesn’t need to cause unnecessary stress.

So there you have it: my guide to the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. If you have anymore questions feel free to reach out! Oh, and let me know what you want me to cover once the sale starts in the comments below!
