If you didn’t get enough Valentine’s Day content last week, don’t worry because I’m back again today with more inspo! As soon as I saw it, I immediately thought it would be such a cute option for a Valentine’s Day dress. If you are looking for something that’s a touch more dressy, but not over-the-top, this is the perfect dress!
I decided to tone the look down with knee-high, tan boots. The dress has such a fun silhouette and pattern that I wanted it to stand out. Honestly, I think this dress is so unique—from the pattern (it has elephants!) to the high, ruffled collar and puff shoulders I haven’t seen anything like it. And if red isn’t your color—because let’s be real, it’s not everyone’s cup of tea—it comes in a pretty blue color or black.
Spring is definitely on my mind when it comes to shopping and that’s another reason I love this dress. Even if you don’t want it for Valentine’s Day, it’s such a great transition piece. Right now I would wear this dress with boots and a coat (be warned, it is thin). But once the temps heat up I think it would be so cute with sneakers or sandals.
Like I mentioned with the boots, since the dress makes such a statement I kept accessories to a minimum. Subtle gold jewelry, my sunglasses, and a bag easily completed the look.
So, if you’re still looking for a Valentine’s Day dress, I highly recommend this one. And, you can get 15% off your entire order with the code thedaintydetails315!
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! While I’m not actually celebrating this holiday, I do love any excuse to wear pink and eat chocolate. When I saw this pink and red dress I was in love! Especially when I found out it was $7. Although it’s now sold out in the pink and red stripe version that I’m wearing, it’s still available in three other colors. I’m really loving the white and black polk dot version. I don’t usually go for super bright clothing—if you’ve seen my Instagram feed, I pretty much wear white all the time—but something about this dress just stood out to me.
I also love that you can dress this dress up or down. I tried to make it a little bit more casual (although it’s definitely not a subtle look) by lacing the ties tighter and pairing it with booties. The dress also has a cut out above the stomach, which doesn’t really show on me with how tightly I tied the laces and because I have such a small torso (Definitely look at the dress on the model to get the full picture!) Even though the dress is more daring than I usually go for, the pink and red combo called my name! And in case you love pink (and a pink and red combo) as much as I do, I’m sharing some other Valentine’s Day inspired dresses:
