Is there anything better than hearing it’s under $25?! I don’t think so! Lately, I’ve been jumping on the Amazon fashion trend and I’ll admit, I’ve bought quite a few duds. As someone who is 5’0 it’s hard for me to find clothes, especially dresses, that fit right. Once I figured out how to shop for my size on Amazon, I feel like things have gotten a lot better!
But anyway, I picked up this navy blue romper (it’s darker in person) for only $22.99 and on prime! It was the perfect piece last weekend to wear out to dinner with friends. I dressed it up a bit with one of my all-time favorite pair of wedges and a pair of light pink earrings! I definitely think you can add a pop of color to this romper to make it stand out.
This romper was so easy to pop on for a night out and I think would be so cute for Memorial Day weekend! The fabric is really lightweight and I love that the tie-front is adjustable. It also comes in a few other colors if navy blue isn’t your thing.
So that’s it for this week—short and sweet. Hope everyone is having a great week and happy Friday eve!
Hello readers! Hope everyone had a great 4th of July. Today’s outfit features this adorable striped romper I got a few weeks ago at Urban Outfitters (the same day I bought that red polka dot dress).
If you follow me on Pinterest, you may have seen my summer mood board, which is full of inspiration for this summer’s outfits. One material that’s become essential to the board is linen; it’s the quintessential summer fabric. Not only is linen light, it also has a certain look to it that absolutely screams summer. Linen also feels very Parisian to me — something I strive to be.
With that in mind, this little romper was a must when I saw it in stores. I actually wanted the blue and white striped version, but they were out of my size. So I tried it on anyway in black, and I think it looks even better. While the blue version is adorable and summery, the black just elevates the look a little more.
To finish the outfit I threw on the white sandals I’ve been wearing on repeat all summer and a coral lip to give the look a hint of color. While I’m mentioning makeup, I recently ran out of my YSL concealer and didn’t want to spend that much again. So instead, I bought IT Cosmetics’ undereye concealer and I definitely recommend!
I’m just going to jump right in and ask, how cute is this romper!? I picked this adorable piece up on my recent trip to Scottsdale and have been waiting anxiously to share it on the blog. It really is the perfect spring piece with the fun pattern and pastel/bright colors. Plus, you can never really go wrong with rompers in the spring. I’m rounding up a few of my favorite romper styles right now below:
An off the shoulder one like this one from Forever21
A gingham print romper like this one from American Eagle (I actually just bought this!)
Another part of my outfit I couldn’t wait to share was my new Steve Madden Carrson heels. I’ve been wanting these shoes since the summer, and finally went for it and bought myself a pair for my sorority formal a couple weeks ago. I originally wanted to get them in black, but they weren’t available in stores, so I went with the blush color, and I’m actually glad that I did. Blush is much more fun for spring and summer, but still goes with a lot.
Hope you liked this post and see you next week! If you like the blog, don’t be afraid to give me a follow on either wordpress or bloglovin, and check out my insta page for even more content!
Hi everyone, sorry for not posting in awhile. For this post, I thought it would be fun to share some of my most recent purchases!
Red lipstick. This is probably my favorite and most used of all my new purchases. I’d been wanting a new red lipstick, but I wanted to be able to wear it in the summer. This color is absolutely perfect! It’s a bright red that fits the warmer months, but I feel like it’s not too over the top for every day casual wear. I also like that it’s easy to apply and I don’t need to wear lipliner. Usually I just swipe it on as I’m leaving and I’m ready to go.
Body suit. I have to say, with the current body suit trend that’s been happening, I was a little skeptical. I was reminded of the leotards I used to wear to dance class. However, I must say that I actually am a fan. I love a nice tucked-in look, but it’s always such a hassle, so the body suit is a good way to accomplish that look. If you follow on instagram (check it out!), you might have seen me in the olive green body suit under my leather jacket. It was so easy to pair with jeans and my jacket for a quick dinner with friends. Because of the jacket (and because I was facing forward), I wasn’t able to show off the cute, lace-up back detail (see picture above). The lace-up back was definitely what sold me on this purchase; I’m loving all things lace-up right now! I wasn’t able to find my exact version online, but Forever21 has so many cute (and affordable!) options you can’t go wrong! I personally have my eye on these: 1, 2, 3.
Hat. Although I haven’t worn it yet, I am so excited to break in this new hat! I’ve been wanting a straw, boater-style hat, so when I tried this one on in Nordstrom I knew I had to have it! I also like that this hat has a brown ribbon. Usually you see boater hats with a black ribbon, so I thought this hat was unique. I can’t wait to pair it with summer dresses and sandals.
Romper. As soon as I tried this romper on in Urban Outfitters, I knew it was a winner. I’m in love with the cut-out in the front. I’ve been seeing a lot of this type of cut-out lately and I just think it’s so cute.
Pajamas. I substituting picturing my pajamas with the Victoria’s Secret bag because they’re in the wash. I wore them to bed the day I bought them! When I was shopping with a friend, we stopped in to check out the 40% off sale on all clothing and loungewear. Can I just say, I am so sad that the company won’t be making pajamas anymore. With this in mind, I couldn’t resist snapping up this cute pink short set. I’ve never felt pajamas so soft!
That’s it for my recent purchases. I hope you liked the post and don’t forget to follow on Bloglovin‘!
