Hello, hello! I thought I’d start an ongoing series on the blog featuring my current obsessions. You may know from a recent Instagram post that I’m loving resin earrings at the moment (especially if they’re tortoiseshell!). I started seeing this trend pop up at the beginning of the year and now that summer is upon us, it. is. EVERYWHERE. And I have to say — I’m loving it!
With that being said, I thought I would gather all of the options I’m loving into one shoppable post! Click on the images below and get to shopping!
Thanks for stopping by! This is something I hope to do once, maybe twice, a month just to highlight some of my favorite trends. I hope you like it, and make sure to weigh in your thoughts on resin earrings in the comments below!
Happy Thursday babes! So close to the weekend, thank god. I’m actually visiting one of my best friends in Charleston this weekend and I am SOO excited (stay tuned for content). Anyway, back to this week’s look…
I bought this ruffle top about a month ago and it has been a staple in my closet ever since. You may have seen it already if you follow me on Instagram (if you don’t go follow!). The silhouette of the top is just so different from any other top I have. Even better: the shirt was just under $100 when I bought it from Nordstrom, and while it’s sold out there now, it’s on sale at Macy’s for $72!
I decided to go with a ruffle theme and pair my top with this asymmetrical, denim ruffle skirt I also bought from Nordstrom. When I bought it, I was actually looking for a plain, non-distressed denim skirt. I saw this one instead and knew I had to buy it! Like the top, it’s a silhouette that I just haven’t seen and am loving. Clearly ruffles are a fave of mine.
Because I wore this look to class before shooting it, I paired my slip on white sneaker-type shoes with it. And let me tell you — I cannot stop wearing these shoes! I get so many compliments on them and they’re just simple slip on sneakers. They pair so well with leggings and a tee on lazy days, but then also dresses and skirts on days when you went to look put together but still casual. If you’re looking for a new shoe for spring, I highly recommend!
On a side note, I just want to talk about my lipstick for a minute. It’s one of the Sephora Collection lipsticks and although this color isn’t sold anymore, you should definitely buy it! They’re only about $12, but I think they last better than any lipstick I own, including ones I’ve spent upwards of $30 on.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by! If you liked this post, let me know in the comments below!
Welcome back everyone! Sorry I’ve been on such a long hiatus, but with spending my last week in London, and then coming home (especially with Christmas) I needed a short break. But don’t worry, we are officially back on schedule!
Today’s look is featuring my new leopard print coat. If there was one thing I couldn’t help but notice in London, it was the fashion. And with that being said, a leopard print coat is a must. The one I’m wearing was a Christmas gift from my mom from H&M and I absolutely love it. They also have this one that is too cute. If you’re looking for a bolder/brighter version, I also think this coat from Asos is adorable.
Underneath my coat I paired a gray off the shoulder sweater — I can’t stop wearing them! — with faux leather leggings. I got the Spanx kind and although I don’t think the leather look comes across that well, these are extremely comfy, and stretchy, leggings.
Lastly, the details. I’m obsessed with my new Rebecca Minkoff bag. It’s the perfect size to hold your money, cards, phone and lipstick. And really, what more could I want? The style of the bag is utter perfection with the circular handle, but a cross body chain for when you need to be hands free. I also wore my pom pom earrings that I bought from a market in London, but the ones I linked above are a pretty good match. To complete the look I threw on my go-to black booties and my gold sunnies.
If you liked this post, give me a follow on insta and bloglovin! That’s all for this week, so stay tuned for next week’s post!
I don’t know about you guys, but I don’t feel like it’s actually fall until October rolls around. As soon as this month hits, I am immediately ready for the changing leaves, pumpkin spice everything, and Halloween.
With that being said, October calls for a closet reset. Sure, I start wearing clothes for cooler weather in September, but October is when fall fashion really takes off. This fall, I’m loving all things plaid, velvet, and mustard yellow. Keep reading for some of my top October picks!
Steve Madden Slides. This season is all about pearl embellishments! Having a subtle pearl element on your shoes instantly elevates your look to high fashion.
Plaid Coat. If you’re a blog regular, you definitely saw last week’s post about plaid blazers. Keep the trend alive by switching to a plaid coat when the temps start to drop.
Velvet Dress. This dress combines two of my favorite things this fall: velvet and mustard yellow! I can see myself styling this piece with some over the knee boots already!
Sweater Dress. One of my favorite things to wear during the cooler months is a sweater dress. Who doesn’t love wearing what is essentially a cocoon and calling it fashion?! I love this one because you can transform it from a cowl neck to an off the shoulder style!
Black Pants. I don’t know if it’s just me, but lately I’m seeing pants with buttons down the sides everywhere. I’m loving the subtle nautical vibes they give off. These pants will be the perfect piece to take from day to night.
Mustard Pumps. Again with this color; I can’t get enough! I love that the pump also features a v-shape, a style that is popping up everywhere.
White Booties. I’ve mentioned it before, but white booties are the IT shoe of the season. If you haven’t already gotten a pair these Steve Madden ones are a great pick, as well as this pair that I have from Topshop.
Baker Boy Hat. I am OBSESSED with this hat trend! I think this style looks so flattering on and adds an element of retro cool to any outfit.
What trends are you guys loving for fall? Let me know in the comments below!
If you read last week’s post, you know how excited I am for the retro 70s vibes that are taking over fall 2017 fashion. Well I’m back this week with another outfit that has all of the retro feels.
From the tunic style, to the vibrant colors, this dress from Zara definitely fits the boho look I was going for. The velvet texture was also a nice touch. To top off the look, I had to add my patent leather red booties. Not only does patent leather fit with the 70s vibe, this material is having a MAJOR moment right now. From boots, to skirts, to pants, you can’t go wrong. The material just elevates your look.
If you’re loving the boho 70s trend too, check out these dresses: 1, 2, 3.
That’s all I have this week, but be sure to stop by next week for even more fall 2017 fashion coming your way!
Happy Wednesday! Sorry for the delay, but I was trying to schedule this to post at the airport and it didn’t work… But anyway I’m posting this from London where I’ve been for a few hours!! I’m so excited to share my semester abroad with you all, but in the meantime here is this week’s look…
I literally just bought this top from Express the day before I shot this outfit. I’m usually not an all-over lace kind of person, but for some reason this top called to me. I’m loving the ruffle detail, as well as the sheer lace back. But what I really love about this top is the color! This rusty rose color is perfect for late summer into fall.
I paired my new top with my white jeans and Tory Burch sandals, but as the weather starts to cool it’ll look cute with a darker pair of jeans and cardigan.
One last note: I am so obsessed with the MAC lipstick I’m wearing. The shade just looks so natural, but adds a little something-something.
I hope everyone liked this post, and if so leave a comment/give me a follow! Just a heads up again, I’m not sure what my posting schedule is going to be like while I’m in London but definitely follow along on Instagram for more consistent content!
