Valentine’s Day Dress and Sales

While I’m not actually celebrating this holiday, I do love any excuse to wear pink and eat chocolate. When I saw this pink and red dress I was in love! Especially when I found out it was $7. Although it’s now sold out in the pink and red stripe version that I’m wearing, it’s still available in three other colors. I’m really loving the white and black polk dot version. I don’t usually go for super bright clothing—if you’ve seen my Instagram feed, I pretty much wear white all the time—but something about this dress just stood out to me.

I also love that you can dress this dress up or down. I tried to make it a little bit more casual (although it’s definitely not a subtle look) by lacing the ties tighter and pairing it with booties. The dress also has a cut out above the stomach, which doesn’t really show on me with how tightly I tied the laces and because I have such a small torso (Definitely look at the dress on the model to get the full picture!) Even though the dress is more daring than I usually go for, the pink and red combo called my name! And in case you love pink (and a pink and red combo) as much as I do, I’m sharing some other Valentine’s Day inspired dresses:

I think all of these options are so great for spring and even into summer. Also, because we all definitely need another reason to shop, here are some Valentine’s Day sales. I mean, if today isn’t a treat yourself day, I don’t know what is!

Welcome back! Today I’m sharing with you my outfit I wore yesterday for Valentine’s Day (but really I just happened to wear this, it was a coincidence that I chose pink).

Anyway, while I was in Italy, I couldn’t help but admire the fashion. Italian women are just so stylish! One trend I kept seeing over and over was wide leg pants paired with platform heels. I knew that I would need to recreate this outfit when I got back. I chose my trusty denim culottes that I shared on the blog last spring and are still a fave of mine. Of course, I had to pair these jeans with my go-to block heel mules. I’ve worn them so many times on the blog now, but I’m still in love with them!

For the top I grabbed this pink ruffly blouse I found at Zara during Winter Break. I am a huge fan of blush pink in general, but blush pink plus a fun ruffle detail? I was sold. Zara is my favorite store to find somewhat different than normal tops!

I finished my look with my usual camel colored peacoat and my new purse I bought in Italy. I can’t believe how cheap leather is in Florence! Because this outfit was inspired by Italian fashion, I had to throw my new Italian bag into the mix.

Thanks for reading, stayed tuned for next week!
